Menu was good & food/drinks good.. poor portion of chips on the 2 dishes that had them. drinks menu wasn’t up to date as it only gave 1 rose wine but when asked they had another one to offer. Duechars was on and tasting great, been years since I last had a pint of it so was always going to be five stars just for that Food came promptly and was very tasty. Great portion sizes. The haggis spring rolls were great, just a hint of curry gave it an edge and a slight kick. One of the party was dairy intolerant and they were happy to leave the cheese off the pizza. Pizza's were fresh and the base was really well cooked, no soggy bottoms there. I would thoroughly recommend the Charwood. ”
“ Good selection of food on the menu, from traditional bar type food to burgers and pizza. Good portion sizes and option with haddock to get large or small. Didn’t pay much attention to vegetarian menu or dietary requirements but definitely saw gluten free options etc. Everyone in our party enjoyed their food and cleared their plates with exception of one and not because food was bad even the small haddock was big! Service was good and staff attentive. Nice restaurant with lovely ambience and good outdoor space. Would recommend. ”
